So when we last left off, I didn't know if I was going to graduate or not. I did. But I have no pictures. The people who took pictures didn't send me any :(.
My situation with my injury is ongoing. I don't sleep well and I struggle to walk around all day let alone do PT, but I do both and just bear up through the pain. I feel like I am getting better week by week, but that is because I have not had as much rigorous exercise as usual. I do not know what PT will be like here.
Oh, wait...where's here? I'm at Ft. Huachuca. It is pretty here. I mean Arizona is pretty here. The post itself...no, not really...um, not at all. I was worried that it was going to be wretchedly hot - it's not. I also thought I would have trouble getting mobile phone signal out here - I do. If you call or text I will not know about it unless I happen to walk through one of the random 5' x 5' cells of service. I say "walk" because I don't have a car and I am daunted by the whole process of getting one. A) I do not want to pay for a car; the payments + insurance + gas will eat at least 20% of my take home pay. B) The process of getting a used car without getting ripped off seems like Mission Impossible, but I guess that's the type of thing I do now. C) The process of navigating the who insurance, tax, license crap seems like an intense hassle. That said, my walking plan is not sustainable. My work place is about 8 blocks from where I live. Yes, that's only about 3/4 of a mile, but then there is the whole showing up to work sweating like a horse. Plus it looks like the schedule is PT then showers then eat then duty day. There would be no way for me to pull that off on foot. The only question that remains is how long will I drag this out. I hope the answer is less than 1 week. Anyone want to put together a pool?
Speaking of pools, I was not invited to play in the family fantasy football pool run by my sister-in-law's husband. Hummm. I guess he is afraid to go up against my encyclopedic knowledge of the NFL. He shouldn't worry. I've been out of the loop for the last three years, which is long enough that some of my favorite players are now retired...or coming back from retirement.
