I went to Visoko with Adisa for a girl's night out last night. Her family has a lovely weekend home with a huge garden where they grow lots of vegetables including big white pumpkins. Stupidly, I forgot my camera. I also got to see Adisa's mom and dad. I really like them so much and I haven't seen them in almost 2 years. We had Iftar at sunset and watched a movie and ate snacks. Other than that, I got a lot of work done on my computer. I sat on the sofa downstairs and just soaked up the silence.
Oh and today is Adisa's birthday!

Eden, my friend and colleague Adisa, and I went rafting on the Naretva...
We had a little bit of a mishap along the way. A tour bus in front of ours got stuck on an embankment and our bus was too big to get around it. But our tour guides were quick thinkers. They sent for vans and got us to our rafts in short order.
Mostly we floated along taking in the beautiful scenery and the perfect weather.
Eden seemed to really be having a great time.
The trip was punctuated by a picnic and the occasional raft-to-raft battle.
The guys on our boat would douse another group of rafters and when the other rafters attempted to retaliate, our guys would shout, "Oh no, look out...we have a baby on board...look at you a grown man soaking a little girl...look she is crying (she wasn't)". The ploy worked like a charm. The other rafters would freeze, not wanting to wet Eden, and just glare at us for being jerks. I should mention that Eden was the only non-bosnian speaker on the entire trip (otherwise she would have taken great offense to being called a baby).
It was an incredibly fun day. I can't believe in all the time I have been here I have never gone before.
